| For: | Vietnam National Defense Army was the name of People's Army of Vietnam in the short period of time from November 1945 to May 1946. The badge of Vietname National Defense Army - Capital Regiment was given to each soldier of the Capital Regiment on January 14th 1947 with the meaning of revolutionary enthusiasm, spirit of fighting and victory, the solidary of all people with the symbol of Hanoi. This badge might have been given to the soldiers who participated in the Capital Regiment on the 50th anniversary of that historical event. (with the same design as the originial one, plus the number "50") | |||
| Design: | Gold five-pointed star breast badge, 40mm across with suspension ribbon. | |||
| Obverse: | on a five-pointed gold star with three small points in between, the insignia of the Capital Regiment with red background and yellow outer ring, on top is the number 50, the inscription "VNVQD - DOAN THU DO" (Vietnam National Defense Army - Capital Regiment) and the image of the Turtle Tower surrounded by two branches. At the bottom is the inscription "1947-1997". | |||
| Reverse: | plain gold background | |||
| Suspension: | "hero" style | |||
| Ribbon: | rectangle, size 10mm x 21mm, gold outer border, the inside is covered with blue fabric. | |||
