| Design: | Gold five-pointed star breast badge, 44mm across with suspension ribbon. | |||
| Obverse: | on a gold five-pointed star, a central round disk with gold background and a red flame, inside is the image of a running soldier carrying a gun; surrounded by a blue ring with the gold inscription "SƯ ĐOÀN QUÂN TIÊN PHONG 308" (The Vanguard Division 308) and "1949-50-1999". | |||
| Reverse: | plain gold background | |||
| Suspension: | "hero" style | |||
| Ribbon: | rectangle, size 21mm x 29mm, gold outer border, the inside is covered with red fabric. | |||
