O-10 FRIENDSHIP ORDER

The 28 January 1977 (or 1 January 1977 revised 5 February 1977 ?) decree(s?) established the award :

The 26 November 2003 revised regulations specified the award criteria as :

  Article 51.-
  The "Friendship Order" shall be conferred or posthumously conferred on foreigners and on collectives of foreigners that have made great contributions to building, consolidating and developing the friendship between Vietnam and other countries in the world.

The 30 September 2005 implementation guidelines provide more detail on award criteria :

  Article 39. Friendship Order
  The Friendship Order for giving or giving to foreign individuals and organizations meets the following criteria:
  1. There is a spirit of solidarity, respect for Vietnamese sovereignty, law and customs.
  2. Great contribution to Vietnam's socio-economic development, security and defense, and many achievements in strengthening and developing friendly relations and good cooperation. in the fields of politics, economy, national defense, security, diplomacy, science and technology, technology, environmental protection, culture and society between Vietnam and other countries, regions and inter-regions foreign organizations, organizations, international organizations.

The 19 May 2006 regulations redesigned the order :

  Article 15. "Friendship Order"

  Body of the medal of the five-pointed golden star-shaped figure in the middle, two hands shaking hands on the globe, above with the words "Friendship Order" (red), below the words "Vietnam" (yellow) placed on historic wheels and two spare parts on either side. The outer diameter of the five star peaks is 44mm, the Nico gold-plated copper alloy material is 3 microns thick.

The 15 April 2010 decree updated the 30 September 2005 implementation guidelines :

  Article 39. "Friendship Order"
  1. "Friendship Order" for giving or giving away to foreign individuals and organizations meeting the following criteria:
    a) There is a spirit of solidarity, respect for independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, Vietnamese laws and customs and practices;
