7/A INITIAL SRV DESIGN
  three classes - distinguished by ribbon device stars - established 15 May 1947; revised 26 November 2003; guidelines 30 September 2005;
Reportedly the medal's name was changed by the Council of Minister's decree of 26 August 1967. (If anyone has this decree, please let me know at rdavemail-medals@yahoo.com) :
  For: units and individuals for outstanding achievements in combat and war service;
  Design: 5-pointed star, silver, 41mm across, with suspension ribbon;
    Obverse: in the center a red disk with a small gold (sometimes silver ?) star, surrounded in red with gold inscription above "HUAN CHUONG" and below "CHIEN CONG", on a star with balled points;
    Reverse: plain;
    Suspension: eyelet at top, with ribbon ring to pentagonal frame;
  Ribbon: 25mm - red with two green 2mm stripes 2mm apart in center; pentagonal;

7/A/1 First Class - Device: three small gold stars;
7/A/2 Second Class - Device: two small gold stars;
7/A/3 Third Class - Device: one small gold star;

(I didn't really see any die variance in early version examples, with only differences in coloring and enamel/paint types - if you have any other info on other variations, please let me know at rdavemail-medals@yahoo.com) :


Third Class - one star (gold center star)

First Class - three stars (silver center star)

7/B DESIGN OF 2006
  three classes - distinguished by ribbon device stars - redesigned 19 May 2006; revised 16 November 2013; guidelines 30 September 2005, 15 April 2010;
  For: units and individuals for outstanding achievements in combat and war service;
  Design: star-like breast badge, gilt, 44mm across, with suspension ribbon;
    Obverse: in the center a red disk with a small gold star, surrounded in red with gold inscription above "HUÂN CHƯƠNG CHIẾN CÔNG" and below "VIỆT NAM", all coated on the face in clear laquer, on a star superimposed on an unside-down pentagon with crossed sword and rifle in-between;
    Reverse: plain;
    Suspension: eyelet at top, and ribbon ring to golden pentagonal plate with pin-back;
  Ribbon: 28mm - red with two green 2mm stripes 3mm apart in center; pentagonal;
  Device:: stars indicating award class.

7/B/1 First Class - Device: three small gold stars;
7/B/2 Second Class - Device: two small gold stars;
7/B/3 Third Class - Device: one small gold star;


 



7/C DESIGN OF 2014
  one class - redesigned 10 September 2014 and 20 July 2018; guildelines 31 July 2017
  For: units and individuals for outstanding achievements in combat and war service;
  Design: star-like breast badge, gilt, 47mm across, with suspension ribbon;
    Obverse: in the center a red disk with a small gold star, surrounded in red with gold inscription above "HUÂN CHƯƠNG CHIẾN CÔNG" and below "VIỆT NAM", all coated on the face in clear laquer, on a star superimposed on a smaller unside-down pentagon with crossed sword and rifle in-between;
    Reverse: plain;
    Suspension: lotus with center eyelet at top, and ribbon ring to golden pentagonal plate with pin-back;
  Ribbon: 28mm - red with a green 3mm stripe 6mm from each edge; pentagonal;
  Device:: stars indicating award class.

7/C/1 First Class - Device: three small gold stars;
7/C/2 Second Class - Device: two small gold stars;
7/C/3 Third Class - Device: one small gold star;


 



7/D EARLY DRV DESIGN 1
  three classes - distinguished by ribbon device stars - established 15 May 1947;
  For: units and individuals for outstanding achievements in combat and war service;
  Design: 5-pointed star, silver, 41mm across, with suspension ribbon;

    Reverse: plain;
    Suspension: eyelet at top with wide stirrup slot ring to pentagonal frame with upper pinback;
  Ribbon: 25mm - greyish-blue; pentagonal;

7/E/1 First Class - Device: three small silver stars;
7/E/2 Second Class - Device: two small silver stars;
7/E/3 Third Class - Device: one small silver star;
