O-14 RESISTANCE ORDER
  Huân Chương Kháng Chiến

The Resistance Order was established on 20 August 1948 to Vietnamese that have made great contributions and achievements in the resistance. The Decoration was added 29 August 1960. (for the Decoration see here)

Initially it was awarded for resistance against the French from 1946 thru 20 July 1954, and later added for resistance against the Americans thru April 30, 1975. Receipients get exememption from civil service (see here) and other benefits.

It may also be awarded to families with multiple childred in service (see here and here) together with the Honary Golden Table and Glorious Family certificates.

14/A INITIAL SRV DESIGN
  three classes - distinguished by ribbon device stars - established 20 August 1948; amended 22 March 1950; guidelines 29 August 1960; amended 29 September 1981;
  For: units and individuals for service with the military, national organisations, for resistance between July 20, 1954 to April 30, 1975;
  Design: pentagonal star, gold, 37mm across, suspension ribbon;
    Obverse: on a pentagonal star of five points with six rays in rather shallow angle between the points and gap between the sets of rays, a large central disk with a shock of rice on either side and, below, a toothed gear (the arms of the DRV) and curving streamer KHANG CHIEN (Resistance);
    Reverse: plain
  Ribbon: 25mm - red 3mm, yellow 2mm, red 15mm, yellow 2mm, red 3mm; pentagonal;

14/A/1 First Class - Device: three small gold stars;
 

awarded to people who have participated in the resistance for 20 years. (29 September 1981 - Resolution 47/NQ-HDNN7);

14/A/2 Second Class - Device: two small gold stars;
 

awarded to people who participated in the resistance from 15 years to less than 20 years,

14/A/3 Third Class - Device: one small gold star;
 

awarded people who participated in the resistance from 10 years to under 15 years.

5/B DESIGN OF 2006
  three classes - distinguished by ribbon device stars - redesigned 19 May 2006; revised 16 November 2013; guidelines 30 September 2005, 15 April 2010;
  For:  
  Design: round breast badge, gilt, 37mm across, with suspension ribbon;
    Obverse: , all coated on the face in clear laquer;
    Reverse: checkered pattern with manufacturer name "C. TY. CƠ KHÍ 17" and local phone number "04.3884 3323"; (perhaps an early version plain ?)
    Suspension: arrangement at top with eyelet, and ribbon ring to golden pentagonal plate with pin-back;
  Ribbon: 28mm - red with a 3mm dark blue band placed 5mm from each edge; pentagonal;
  Device:: stars indicating award class.

5/B/1 First Class - Device: three small gold stars;
5/B/2 Second Class - Device: two small gold stars;
5/B/3 Third Class - Device: one small gold star;


 

5/C DESIGN OF 2014
  one class - redesigned 10 September 2014 and 20 July 2018; guildelines 31 July 2017
  For:  
  Design: round breast badge, gilt, 37mm across, with suspension ribbon;
    Obverse: , all coated on the face in clear laquer;
    Reverse: checkered pattern with manufacturer name "C. TY. CƠ KHÍ 17" and local phone number "04.3884 3323";
    Suspension: lotus with center eyelet at top, and ribbon ring to golden pentagonal plate with pin-back;
  Ribbon: 28mm - red with a 3mm light blue band placed 5mm from each edge; pentagonal;
  Device:: stars indicating award class.

5/C/1 First Class - Device: three small gold stars;
5/C/2 Second Class - Device: two small gold stars;
5/C/3 Third Class - Device: one small gold star;
